News - Okra Pods to Appear on Conan O'Brien

The Okra Pods have announced that they are set to perform on the Conan O'Brien's The Tonight Show. The news is a bit confusing since the announcement states that the parody rock band will perform in early May 2010... and the Tonight Show will more than likely not have the lanky Conan O'Brien behind the interview desk.

"We are very excited to finally have another shot on late night tv." says manager Rob DeRich. "The last... and only... shot we ever had was on Letterman years ago but the band was bumped after Robin William's segment ran long."

"It's all hoolywood, baby" informs guitarist Paulzey Ford. "We think this entire situation between Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien is a work. It is like when Stone Cold Steve Austin stomps a mudhole into The Undertaker, but after the wrestling match is over they both sit backstage sipping tea and discussing quantum physics. I believe the networks made this entire drama up to help boost Conan's ratings."
